The executive chef of Marriott Puerto Vallarta, Kelvin Valenzuela, was born in Nayarit. In an early age, he was employed as cook assistant at the resort, where he discovered his passion & started his career. With more than 20 years of culinary experience, his creativity made him an important piece for Marriott. Since 2014, he has created unique dishes with his culinary expertise. He collaborated at other Marriott Hotels. He is always looking for new flavors to delight with traditional ingredients.
At the age of 18, he started as a cook in a Japanese restaurant in Tepic, his birthplace.
He studied gastronomy and worked in Vidanta. He was also a Line Cook in “La Leche” and “Rancho Banderas” in Punta de Mita. Then, he returned to Vidanta to delight in 3 restaurants, performing Teppan-yaki shows in one of them. In 2016 he moved to Nicaragua and started his career in Mukul Resort, where nowadays, uses local and international ingredients to create unique flavors.
