Originally from Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico, Chef Emilio arrived to Puerto Vallarta at age 10. His first memories are cooking with his mother and grandmother, two examples of women with an extraordinary passion for food. At age 17 he started his trajectory in the kitchen helping out at private Villas in Sayulita. A few years later, in 2007, he started his career as Chef at Vista Grill, working along side with great Chefs such as Felipe Gaytan, Emil Miney, Jose Guerrero, Ryan Steyn, amongst others. He has participated in 6 Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festivals, innovating and conserving the quality and exquisite flavor in his dishes. Chef Emilio has always believed that cooking is an art, and he is a fine example of such artist.
Young promises of Mexican cuisine are emerging in different states of Mexico and Jalisco could not be left behind, with Salvador Carrillo Barrón, talented chef who won second place in the national contest “Chef of the Year 2014”, “Young Golden Chef 2010”, and “Young Chef San Pellegrino 2015”.
