Chef Arturo González

Originally from Toluca, Estado de México, Chef Arturo González discovered his passion for gastronomy at an early age. He graduated with honors from the Instituto de Gastronomía Grupo Isima in Toluca, where his journey toward culinary excellence began. Since then, he has dedicated his career to the relentless pursuit of perfection and innovation in the kitchen.
Arturo has participated in prestigious culinary events, such as the “Thierry Blouet Trophy 2017” competition and the “International Gourmet Festival” in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, where he made his mark with creativity and talent.
His professional experience spans some of Mexico’s most important tourist destinations, including Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, and his hometown of Toluca. He has worked in renowned establishments like Secret Maroma, Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, La Fishería in Playa del Carmen, and El Suizo in Toluca.
Currently, Arturo serves as the Executive Chef of Mar y Vino and IK Mixology in Puerto Vallarta, two of the most visited restaurants in this beautiful tourist destination. His commitment to quality and continuous training are the pillars that drive him to elevate gastronomy to exceptional levels, making every dish an unforgettable experience.

Rooted in the vibrant Acapulco de Juárez, Chef Victor Parra has forged an exceptional career in the world. With a deep passion for cooking and an unwavering commitment to excellence, he has left an indelible mark on the international culinary scene.

Academic Background
Chef Parra began his education at the Ecole Hôtelière des Laurentides in Montreal, Canada, where he laid the foundation for his culinary expertise. He further honed his
skills in Hospitality Management at Niagara Falls University, refining his abilities in hotel management and administration. To round out his education, he obtained a postgraduate degree in International Business Administration, equipping him to manage large-scale culinary projects.

His culinary style is distinguished by the artistic presentation of Mexican cuisine, using modern and classical techniques that are visually stunning as they are delicious.

Chef Parras’s excellence has been recognized with nominations from the prestigious James Beard Award for Best Chef in 2018 and again in 2019, highlighting his talent and dedication in the competitive culinary world.

Professional Experience
Las Puertas NY (2017 – Present): As chef-owner and operator, Victor has been the driving force behind this project since its inception. The restaurant offers a culinary journey through Mexico in New York, with a menu that changes every five weeks, constantly exploring Mexican flavors.

Las Puertas Tulum (2018 – 2020): Located at Tulum’s Beach Road Hotel, this restaurant explores seafood and vegetarian cuisine from the Yucatan Peninsula. With a focus on grilled cooking and fire, it promoted sustainable gastronomy, resonating with diners.

Casa Azul (2016 – 2018): As founding chef and partner, Victor transformed traditional Mexican street food into authentic culinary masterpieces, offering an innovative vision that elevated thes beloved dishes.

Victor Parra continues to innovate and elevate Mexican cuisine, combining art and flavor in every dish.
