A young and talented chef who is making a mark on the culinary scene of the region. With his creativity, passion, and focus on seasonal cuisine, he ensures that each ingredient is at its peak, resulting in an exceptional culinary experience for diners. Chef Arquímides, originally from “El Ranchito,” has had a special connection with food from an early age. His love for authentic flavors and fresh ingredients is reflected in every dish he creates.

Through his cooking, he aims to highlight the flavors of the region and promote the culinary richness of Mexico. Currently serving as the Executive Chef at Casa Cayaco in Puerto Vallarta, he presents a haute cuisine menu with a distinctive grilled touch, a must-try at the 2023 International Gourmet Festival.

To say that Pedro Nel knows a lot about cuisine and restaurant management is probably an understatement. In addition to his extensive knowledge, he brings many personal touches to his work, including a special talent for infusing his expertise into Etéreo in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with a great deal of humanity and charisma.

His keen vision and strategic approach have led to various accolades, such as being recommended by the Michelin Guide, earning a Repsol Sun, and being named Best Restaurant in the Canaries by the Qué Bueno Guide. There is no doubt about Pedro Nel’s strong connection to Tenerife, even though he was born in Colombia. In fact, he has been honored as one of the Colombian Stars around the world for his contributions in promoting and bringing prestige to his homeland.

 Having taught culinary arts at the University of Medellín, he has assembled kitchen and service teams that have become an example for other local chefs to follow. Notably, Pedro Nel possesses exceptional communication skills, which he demonstrates in conferences such as Madrid Fusión, Gastrocanarias, and also in Mexico.
